ENG 3303 - Intercultural Communication Skills for Better Business

Introduction to the course

This course aims to provide learners with an introduction to various areas in intercultural communication, particularly in effective intercultural business communication. It will encourage learners’ thoughts and reflections to increase awareness of cultural differences which may foster a better understanding of some key issues, for example, stereotypes, attitude and perception. In addition to being aware of cultural differences, other cultural aspects such as non-verbal communication, time and communication style will be addressed in order to help learners develop essential communication skills in working in an international team, being a successful international manager and negotiating in business settings.
