Introduction to the course
In this class, students will strengthen their English skills while developing a deeper understanding of the United States, including its history, politics, culture, and contemporary issues.
The course begins with an introduction to how the U.S. functions politically, culturally, and socially before exploring important moments in American history and their influence on society today. Students will complete a presentation on an American history topic of their choice and study rhetorical analysis through famous American speeches.
