Introduction to the module

This module explores the inter-relationships that exist between technological change, competition and socio-economic issues. These relationships are complex and dynamic, reflecting the wide-ranging nature of technological change that has occurred over the last 30 years or so and how technology has transformed many existing activities while creating new ones. While it is tempting to focus on specific apps or companies, it is worth remembering that technological change shapes the competitiveness of nations and how they prosper in today's global technology enabled economy.
