Sustainable Development Goals
* ODD 3 – Bonne santé et bien-être
* ODD 4 – Éducation de qualité
***
The student engagement recognition module contributes to the implementation of several Sustainable Development Goals by promoting inclusive and socially responsible educational practices.
* SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being
Associative engagement is a factor in students’ psychosocial well-being. It fosters a sense of belonging, social connections, and self-confidence. By providing spaces for initiative, cooperation, and responsibility, the module contributes to personal fulfilment, the prevention of isolation, and a balance between academic life and civic engagement.
* SDG 4 – Quality Education
By recognizing learning achieved outside the formal academic framework, the module strengthens a holistic approach to education. It supports the acquisition of transferable skills — project management, communication, collaborative work, leadership — complementing disciplinary knowledge. This recognition contributes to inclusive, relevant education oriented toward learners’ sustainable success by linking theory and practice.
* SDG 5 – Gender Equality
The module encourages balanced participation in associative and decision-making processes. By promoting initiatives that support gender balance, shared governance, and equitable access to responsibilities, it contributes to advancing gender equality and raising awareness of inclusion and anti-discrimination issues.
Overall, the recognition of student engagement forms part of a responsible educational approach aligned with the principles of sustainable development and civic education.

Pedagogical methods
***
The course is based on the recognition of students’ field experience and civic engagement. Teaching methods are structured around acknowledging concrete activities and real responsibilities (associative involvement, sport, entrepreneurship, civic or professional engagement).
Evaluation and grading system and catch up exams
Validation of the module is based on attendance and the quality of the student’s engagement in the chosen activity when it takes place on campus.
In the case of external activities, the student must submit an experience report highlighting the skills developed during the period.
If the module is not validated, the student will be required to complete MOOCs related to the Sustainable Development Goals, representing a minimum engagement of 80 hours. These MOOCs must be completed before 20/08/20N+1 for the student’s file to be reassessed by the September examination board.
