Pedagogical methods
Evaluation and grading system and catch up exams
Assessment consists of two group assignments, one individual assignment, and an individual final exam. Each assignment accounts for 20% of the final grade, for a total of 60%. The final exam accounts for the remaining 40%. To pass the course, both the final exam grade and the overall course grade must exceed 5.5.
Assignment 1 is completed in groups. It assesses students’ ability to evaluate an organization’s digital and leadership capabilities, create a digital strategy, and determine an appropriate digital governance structure.
Assignment 2 is also completed in groups. It assesses students’ ability to create a digital strategy and analyze business processes. It also covers identifying opportunities for IT outsourcing and analyzing decision-making fallacies in IT decisions. Finally, it assesses students’ understanding of how organizational transformation can support sustainable practices and create positive social impact in a business context, with reference to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Assignment 3 is completed individually. It assesses students’ ability to analyze an organization’s business processes.
The assignments are based on the content covered in class and the course readings. Students are expected to interpret their findings using the concepts discussed in class. Each assignment must be submitted by 23:59 on its scheduled due date. No resits are available for the three assignments.
The final exam is an individual written assessment covering all learning objectives of the course. Its structure will be announced later in the course. A resit is available for the final exam.
Students must complete individual assignments independently and to the best of their ability, without seeking or accepting help from others, helping other students, or using resources that have not been explicitly permitted. For group assignments, collaboration outside one’s own group is prohibited. Sharing solutions with other groups is also considered academic misconduct.
