Introduction to the module
With the integration of digital technology into businesses, organizations are evolving and transforming both their strategic and operational approaches. The information system lies at the core of the company’s operations, driving and accelerating digital transformation. It supports the company’s activities, and its proper functioning is essential. Faced with the changes brought about by digital transformation, the governance of information systems (IS) is directly impacted and consequently evolves to adapt to new ways of working and the opportunities brought by technology. IS governance within companies is a management approach aimed at optimally contributing to value creation, aligning digital strategy with corporate strategy, optimizing resource use, and managing risks in line with the company’s priorities. (Guide to Auditing Information Systems Governance, 2019, AFAI-ISACA · CIGREF · IFACI)
Based on the Guide to Auditing Information Systems Governance (AFAI-ISACA · CIGREF · IFACI), the objectives of this course are to:

-Raise awareness of the challenges of IS governance in corporate transformation: ensuring the IS’s optimal contribution to value creation.
-Present a structured synthesis of the major domains of IS governance (divided into 12 self-sustaining vectors): from strategic alignment to business project execution and company-wide communication.
-Identify, for each domain, best practices, associated risks, and key control points.
-Share insights from large corporations’ experiences: IS strategic plans/project portfolio management.
