Introduction to the module

This course deals with the international dimension of business law. It focuses on private international law, European Union law, and French law. It addresses various legal matters, in a multidisciplinary approach covering notably contract law, commercial law, company law, intellectual property law, and law on the processing of personal data. It presents the rules applicable to the international activities of enterprises and outlines the legal issues to be addressed to secure and optimise these activities. Through a practical approach, the course explains the legal issues encountered in international business, in various activities, for example: research and development, engineering, design, purchasing, supplier relationship management, marketing and communication, sales, distribution, import, export, and international development. Many templates of clauses and contracts, as well as practical cases, will be studied. The main medium of the course will be the lecturer’s website, giving learners access to slides, lessons, quizzes, guides, and templates of clauses and contracts.
